PIGMENT HUNTER BOOK FUNDRAISINGPigment Hunter will be creating a book about the art of pigment hunting with a focus on how and where to collect sources of color in the form of local clay, minerals, and plants.
The book will contain color photographs that document the collection of various materials from a diversity of landscapes, the processing of natural resources into pigments, and the creation of various types of inks, paints, pastels, and crayons. Information about how to use maps, books, and other resources for research and references will help to guide one in the art of pigment hunting. Pigment Hunter will be a self published hardback book printed by IngramSpark with 200 premium color pages and beautiful photographs. The book will be produced during the spring of 2022 after the crowd sourced campaign has completed at the end of December in 2021.. The book will also be used as a fundraiser and to generate support for the Pigment Hunter Artist In Residence program, the future educational workshop space, and a gallery space for the exhibition of Pigment Hunter related art in Taos, NM. More information about the book and the crowd sourced funding will be presented in March with the crowd sourced campaign. |
